Join Dr. Ariel Ross for a deep anatomical dive into the vinyasa practice. This workshop is open to all levels of practitioners and is designed for anyone interested in an anatomical deep dive of the vinyasa yoga practice for safety and stability, especially students who may be returning after injury. In this workshop we will:
• Learn the functional anatomy and foundation of the most common yoga postures (chaturanga, downward facing dog, wheel pose, plank, and handstands)
• Demystify common misalignments and pitfalls in vinyasa yoga's most common postures and transitions.
• Improve awareness of the stability in our bodies as we practice posture-related exercises and end-range strengthening drills, which are critical in finding the balance between stability and flexibility in our practice.
• Apply these lessons in a grounded vinyasa flow to bring awareness as we practice aligning, stabilizing, and strengthening our practice to prevent injuries and build the mind-body connection needed to sustain your yoga practice for years.
